Ah, envy. That uncomfortable feeling of discontent aroused by someone else’s abilities/possessions/qualities/good luck.
We all experience it at some time or another, against our will. It’s a disagreeable feeling that we’d all probably prefer not to have.
But what if envy were actually good for you?
It can be, if you use it properly.
Envy Is Not Jealousy
Let me clarify.
I’m talking about envy here, not jealousy.
Jealousy is wanting the SPECIFIC thing someone else has.
Such as wanting someone’s particular girl/boyfriend or position at work. In those cases, the only way for you to get what you want is to hurt/betray/kill the person who has that thing so that you can have exactly what he has.
But envy is wanting the GENERAL thing someone else has.
